This compact kitchen fire blanket is suitable for extinguishing fires involving up to 3 litres of cooking fats and oils and comes with a 5-year warranty. Larger sizes are also available for commercial use.
Equipped with a mounting eyelet, the blanket can be easily hung on the wall and is secured within its pouch by a Velcro fastener, making it easy to access by simply pulling down the tabs. To use, unfold the blanket and carefully place it over the flames by holding the pull tabs. The blanket extinguishes the fire by smothering it and cutting off its oxygen supply, preventing further spread.
This fire blanket is suitable for small kitchens, caravan parks, holiday homes, and rental properties.
Anticipated lifespan: The Fire Industry Association (FIA) recommends replacing fire blankets every 7 years. Always replace the blanket after it has been used in a fire.
