Available in a wide range of options, our Emergency Lighting collection provides a backup supply of light in the event of blackouts, outages, and power cuts. Designed for displaying near fire exits and escape routes, these lights help occupants find the nearest way out of buildings.

When outages occur, occupants might find themselves in low-light conditions which can cause unease and panic. But with emergency lighting in place, occupants can confidently seek exits and assemble in secure locations once out of the building.

These cost-effective solutions ensure the safety and protection of building occupants within residential, commercial, and other premises, and also ensure compliance with building safety standards.

How Often Should Emergency Lighting Be Tested?

As part of Legal Testing Requirements, all emergency light installations must be 'flick tested' once a month to ensure they're fully operational, which lasts for only thirty seconds. Emergency lights must also be professionally tested once a year to ensure compliance and functionality, with the test lasting for a minimum of 90 minutes. Failure to do so can result in hefty penalties and fines, making it important to schedule testing ahead of time.

We offer Emergency Light Servicing as part of our Fire Safety Servicing range, which takes the hassle out of needing to test and service these devices yourself. Whether you're looking to service bulkheads, downlights, or exit lighting, our team can assist you with ensuring your premises adhere to British Standards 5266-8:2008 and EN 50172:2004.

We also stock Fire Exit Stickers which sit over emergency lighting systems and direct occupants towards fire exits. Low in cost and requiring no maintenance, these stickers are supplied in packs of 10, so you can install and replace stickers where necessary.
