Sized at 1.1m x 1.1m, Vigil fire blankets have undergone rigorous performance and quality testing by SGS Group, a global leader in testing and certification, and meet the BS EN 1869:2019 standard. We take pride in offering one of the most effective fire blankets on the market.
This fire blanket is ideal for containing fires involving cooking fats and oils up to 3 litres and comes with a 5-year warranty. For larger commercial needs, we also offer bigger fire blankets.
Designed for convenience, the blanket is stored in a pouch with Velcro fastening and a mounting eyelet for easy wall hanging. To deploy, simply pull the tabs to release the blanket, unfold it, and carefully place it over the flames. The blanket effectively smothers the fire by cutting off its oxygen supply, preventing the fire from spreading.
Perfect for small kitchens, caravans, holiday homes, and rental properties, this fire blanket has an anticipated lifespan of 7 years, as recommended by the FIA, and should be replaced after use in a fire.
Important Note: Be cautious of untested, low-quality fire blankets sold on platforms like Amazon and eBay. These often claim compliance with outdated standards like "CE Standard: 1869-1997" and are labelled "Made in P.R.C." Such products may fail in critical situations, potentially burning through or catching fire.
Suitable for small kitchen areas, caravan parks, holiday homes, and landlord flats.
