What colour is a dry powder fire extinguisher?

All fire extinguisher bodies sold in the UK are signal red, following BS EN 3-7. A coloured band or panel around the neck of the extinguisher identifies the extinguishing agent inside. A dry powder fire extinguisher is marked with a blue label or band. If you see a red extinguisher with a blue panel or ring near the top, you are looking at a powder unit. That single visual cue is what lets you pick the right extinguisher quickly in an emergency, without having to read the full label.
