With a megaphone, you’ll no longer have to worry about struggling to be heard. Whether you’re needing to control a crowd in an event or give clear and precise instructions during an emergency, they’re great. Highly portable and battery-powered, they produce a sound which is clear so that everyone can hear every word, so there are no excuses.
And best of all, you can do it all without even having to raise your voice. If you’re still struggling to be heard, don’t shout louder, just increase the volume on the megaphone.
We have a wide range available so you can select the megaphone or loud hailer which best meets your requirements. But whichever you choose, make sure you don’t forget the batteries.
Everyday Megaphones
Our lightweight and economy ranges of megaphone are ideal for fire drills, outdoor events, and small premises and sites to give instructions. They remain robust with even the basic models being able to send your voice up to 700 metres into the distance.
Either talk into the rear of the megaphone or handheld microphone, depending on the model, or you can use the built-in siren to really get everyone’s attention.
Heavy-Duty Megaphones
We also have megaphones which pack even more of a punch so you can be heard well over a mile away so there’s really no escaping your announcements. Some even have the ability to play music from a USB, SD card or external device, making them an ideal piece of equipment for any outdoor event.
It’s also worth taking a look at our portable PA systems.
Are these megaphones suitable for emergency evacuations and fire drills?
Yes, and this is one of the primary use cases for the range. Even the most compact 10W model projects clearly up to 700 metres. For larger sites, outdoor events, or environments with significant background noise, the heavier-duty 25W and 45W models carry over a mile. All models are battery-powered and portable, so they're ready to use immediately without any fixed installation.
How far can these megaphones project sound?
Range varies by model. The entry-level 10W compact megaphone reaches up to 700 metres. The mid-range models step this up significantly, and the 45W megaphone with audio playback carries well over a mile. As a general rule, match the wattage to the size of your site and the level of ambient noise you're working against. For large outdoor events or industrial sites with high background noise, the higher-wattage models are the more reliable choice.
Do these megaphones require batteries, and if so, are they included?
All battery-powered models in the range require batteries - AA, C, or D depending on the model - and these are not included with the megaphone itself. The 10W rechargeable megaphone is the exception - it charges via USB and doesn't require disposable batteries.
