Dry riser inlet valves are typically found outside the ground floor of a building; they give the fire brigade a means to create a pressurised water supply that can then be accessed on any required floor through outlet valves. A sturdy and highly visible cabinet will make sure the valve is kept safe from accidental or even deliberate damages, and reduces any delays in finding and accessing the valve.
