Quick and easy to install, and requiring no additional wiring, it uses the same footprint as any existing acoustically-activated door retaining device. With the door held open, it will automatically close when it hears your existing fire alarm of over 80dB and continue for longer than 15 seconds, with adjustable sensitivity. The fire door retainer is powered by two Alkaline C batteries for a long working life and has a low battery indicator to help you keep the unit in excellent working order.

Once in place, you can have it working manually or automatically via a timer to set a night release time, and then leave DoorSense to get on with the job of giving easy access while keeping everyone safe. Designed to be robust and practical, the curved and red fire-retardant casing helps to deflect impacts and stay looking smart even when subjected to extreme treatment.

CE marked and compliant with EN1155:1997, the wireless fire door holder provides up to two hours of fire resistance on a timber door and has a two-year manufacturer’s guarantee. Designed for use with door closure, it’s suitable for doors up to 160kg and 1600mm wide and is supplied with batteries, fitting and setup instructions, and a floor plate. Must be used in conjunction with a door closure.
