This adaptable 2kg Powder Fire Extinguisher is highly effective against Class A, B, and C fires, and its non-conductive nature ensures safety when operating around live electrical equipment. Manufactured in Great Britain by Britannia, each P50 Fireworld extinguisher is meticulously constructed with polyethylene and Aramid fibre (Kevlar®), imparting near-indestructibility. Unlike standard steel counterparts, it remains corrosion-free, facilitating use indoors and outdoors, all while maintaining a lightweight yet remarkably robust build. With an extraordinary 20-year lifespan, it necessitates factory refurbishment at the 10-year milestone, contributing to waste reduction and being entirely recyclable at the end of its service cycle.
Inspecting the 2kg Powder P50 Fire Extinguisher is a straightforward process, thanks to clearly outlined instructions on the back. Maintenance can be effortlessly documented using a marker pen, plus there is an app available for Google and Apple devices which you can use to register and log annual maintenance. The extinguisher is equipped with a pressure regulation gauge and an additional gauge for redundancy, complemented by a special magnet to verify the operational status of both gauges.
Suitable for the home, small kitchens and workshops, cars, cars, caravans, boats, truck cabs, and portable buildings.
Types of fire include Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc), B (flammable liquids), C (flammable gas), and fire involving electrical equipment (tested to 1000V).
Anticipated lifespan with indoor use and proper maintenance - 10 years, with an additional 10 years after factory refurbishment.
Please Note: You should still have your new self-service P50 extinguishers commissioned and installed by an extinguisher technician.
British Standard 5306-8:2012 for the Selection and Positioning of Portable Fire Extinguishers
5.4.3 Use of powder extinguishers
The discharge of a powder extinguisher within buildings can cause a sudden reduction of visibility and can also impair breathing, which could temporarily jeopardize escape, rescue or other emergency action. For this reason, powder extinguishers should generally not be specified for use indoors, unless mitigated by a health and safety risk assessment.

- Check the extinguisher is within the life expectancy by the colour date stud.
- Sign the back of the extinguisher with a permanent marker pen.
