Measuring 1m x 1m, this fire blanket is ideal for extinguishing fires involving up to 3 litres of cooking fats and oils and is backed by a 5-year warranty. For commercial applications, larger fire blankets are also offered.
The fire blanket is secured in its pouch with a Velcro closure, allowing for quick access by simply pulling down the tabs. To deploy, unfold the blanket and place it over the flames by holding the pull tabs. The blanket smothers the fire by cutting off the oxygen, causing it to extinguish and preventing it from spreading.
This 1.1mm x 1.1m fire blanket is well-suited for small kitchens, caravan parks, holiday homes, and rental properties.
Expected lifespan: The Fire Industry Association (FIA) advises replacing fire blankets every 7 years. Always replace the blanket after it has been used in a fire.
Important Note: Be cautious of inexpensive, untested fire blankets available on marketplaces like Amazon and eBay. These often feature "CE Standard: 1869-1997" at the top and "Made in P.R.C." at the bottom. Such products may burn through or catch fire during use.
