Free 90 Day ReturnsSimilar to its predecessor, the 2 litre Lith-Ex fire extinguisher utilizes the non-toxic extinguishing agent AVD (Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion). When deployed as a mist, AVD forms a film over the surface of the lithium-ion battery fire, which rapidly dries to create an oxygen barrier. This barrier helps to cool down the fire and prevents re-ignition.
The extinguisher is the only one deemed safe for use on lithium-ion batteries and is effective in situations where powder extinguishers may not be suitable. It is specifically designed to address fires caused by overheating, overcharging, or physical damage and impacts to lithium batteries.
