Manufactured using welded steel, they use insulating air space for fire protection and are powder-coated to ensure they are chemical resistant too. The door is self-latching, making it easy to close and allowing it to offer maximum protection. Plus the U-Loc handle with cylinder lock and set of keys can also be padlocked too.
The self-closing door option works by automatically shutting when it reaches 74℃. That means that under fire conditions, the fusible link melts which allow it to shut and protect the contents.
Sure-Grip EX Slimline Safety Cabinets come with three adjustable shelves which all direct any spills to the back and bottom of the cabinet, and into a leak-proof sump. As well as that, they feature flame-arresting dual vents, a grounding wire connector and self-levelling feet. Together, they all work to ensure the liquids stored inside are kept in the right environment.
They also come with peace of mind, as all Sure-Grip EX Slimline Safety Cabinets are FM approved and have a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The safety cabinet is 10-minute fire tested up to 1,300°C which gives you more time for safe evacuation, and the internal temperature during fire tests kept below the auto-ignition temperature for the vast majority of flammable liquids. Overall, it either exceeds or meets the UK requirements of DSEAR 2002, COSHH, HSG51, and HSG140.
