The traffic ramps are frequently used in industrial and commercial sites, in car parks and private facilities including hospitals, construction sites and schools.
Reduce accidents and prevent injuries with lower speeds! The easily visible yellow and black colours, combined with cats eye night reflectors, ensure they’re easy to spot day and night. Made of highly durable recycled rubber, the Speed Bump Kit features grooved diamond shapes for improved grip and water drainage, and is moisture, UV and temperature resistant.
Speed Bump 5mph – Kit Contents
The mid sections come in 1 metre lengths, half black and half yellow and have eight pre-drilled holes. The kit also includes a yellow and a black end cap, which allows an alternating yellow/black pattern from end-to-end. The total length is 180mm in length and has two pre-drilled holes. The speed ramp has a height of 70mm and a width of 350mm.
The M10 shield anchor bolts are made for heavy-duty, load-bearing applications and are great for tarmac and concrete installation. You’ll get exactly the amount you need to completely fasten the entire speed bump, 100mm in length. To install, start by marking the position of bolts, then drill the required holes at the right size, insert the fixing and finish by securing the speed bump in place.
Where To Install Your Speed Bump
The best place to install speed bumps is in areas where pedestrians and vehicles mix. Speed bumps are often positioned at entrances or near zebra crossings and are an effective speed deterrent in low-speed zones.
Whatever you call them – speed humps, speed bumps, speed ramps or sleeping policemen – they need to be installed directly across the road and away from junctions. Vehicles turning on a speed bump can cause discomfort for the driver and passenger, increases the likelihood of stalling and will damage the bumps over time.
