The benefit of this is that steam and other particles cannot affect it and cause false alarms, which makes it ideal for kitchens.
Using electronic components that change their resistance when heated, circuitry within the low-profile detector will raise the alarm when temperatures reach the pre-determined heat. The fixed-temperature heat alarm activates at 92°C (well above any room temperature you could bear) and features a sensor self-test feature so you can rely on the condition of the alarm.
With an Omni-view indication light which is visible from 360°, this means it can be installed in any orientation, which is the red ring visible in the pictures. This shows when the alarm is activated, or flashes to show it is communicating with the control panel, although this is controllable. Needing a detector base, sold separately, the EV-H-CS detector fits Nittan and Nittan protocol systems and is addressed using a handheld programming tool.
