Made with reliability and durability in mind, the C1A performs its ECG analysis (heart rhythm assessment) in just 5 seconds and, thanks to its QShock technology, delivers a life-saving shock in less than 8 seconds. It can be exposed to water and dust in the air for up to 55 minutes thanks to its IP55 rating (not fully waterproof). Its consumables are made for maximum shelf life: 5 years for the pads and up to 6 years for the batteries.

It uses continuous voice-guided coaching and a CPR metronome, allowing untrained bystanders to make effective use of the device under pressure. It can also switch between distinct adult and child modes, allowing the user to adapt the AED to the casualty’s age. All this makes the C1A perfect for locations such as schools and workplaces, as well as most public spaces and customer-facing environments. 

The electrode pads themselves will still need to be replaced after each use, and we always recommend having a spare battery to hand.
