This heat detecting alarm by Firex replaces previous Kidde model 4899. The Firex KF30 is designed for use in the kitchen area. The alarm sounds when temperatures above 57 degrees Centigrade are detected. False alarms from steam and smoke during food preparation are avoided when you choose a heat technology alarm for your kitchen.

Interconnectable with as many as 23 other compatible Kidde and Firex devices, the KF30 also features a battery test button, and a hush button to quickly silence any false or nuisance alarms. The optional long life version comes equipped with a lithium backup battery that is guaranteed for the 6 year warranty period of the alarm. Standard 9V backup battery should be replaced annually. This heat alarm is BSi Kitemarked to BS 5839 Part 6 Grade D and CE marked. Easily mounts to the ceiling using the included screws and wall plugs. Heat alarms should never be used as the only fire alert protection within a home. We recommend installation of optical, ionisation and heat detection devices. Measurements are 127mm in diameter, and 39mm deep. Manufactured by Kidde Firex.
