The single retrofit reflector has a special nano-coating which reduces the chances of condensation forming.
Condensation can be a problem in some environments where warm air meets a cold surface, just like your windows in the winter. The beam detector cannot identify the difference between this and smoke, and would, therefore, activate the alarm. With the Firebeam Single Anti-Fog Reflector installed, condensation is prevented from forming in the first place, meaning it won’t be an issue.
For extra reliability, consider fitting a Firebeam Anti-Fog Window onto the beam head, and the Firebeam Anti-Fog range extending kit to make your system even more reliable if you’re needing to monitor a distance greater than 40m.
