Stored within a durable hard case as standard, it’s complete with dual straps for wall hanging and has printed instructions which are easy to follow. With a 12-month warranty, this fire blanket is manufactured from a high-quality coated satin weave material with silicone coating on both sides and is performance and quality tested in accordance with BS EN 1869:1997, as well as being kitemarked. 

The 1.2m x 1.2m fire blanket works by smothering the fire and cutting out oxygen so it can burn itself out and prevent the fire from spreading. Secured within the pouch using Velcro fastening, the fire blanket is easily released by simply pulling the tabs down. To use, unfold the blanket and then carefully place the blanket over the flames by holding the pull tabs.

The 1.2m x 1.2m fire blanket is suitable for small commercial kitchens such as cafes, as well as domestic kitchens, workshops and workplace kitchens.

Anticipated lifespan of this fire blanket: The FIA recommends replacing fire blankets after 7 years. Always replace after a fire.

Special Note: Beware of cheap, untested fire blankets sold on marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. They often state "C E Standard: 1869-2019" near the top and "Made in P.R.C." near the bottom. Some of these may burn through or actually catch fire when used.
