Being one of the earliest fluorine-free foam extinguishers, this PFAS-free product is designed to minimise environmental impact by avoiding fluorochemicals known for persistent contamination.

With a fire rating of 27A 144B, the black 6-litre Eco-Foam Fire Extinguisher is suitable for tackling Class A (everyday combustibles), Class B (flammable liquids), and even electrical fires. It is built to the same high standards as its red equivalent but is not certified under certain schemes solely due to its black exterior. However, it is CE Marked and UKCA approved, ensuring it meets all fire safety requirements.

Inspection is made simple with instructions printed directly on the extinguisher for step-by-step guidance. Maintenance can be logged using a marker pen or via a dedicated app compatible with Google and Apple devices. Equipped with dual pressure gauges for reliability, it includes a special magnet for easy functionality checks.

Crafted in Great Britain by Britannia, the P50 extinguisher is constructed from corrosion-resistant polyethylene and Aramid fibre (Kevlar®), making it lightweight yet incredibly durable. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it boasts a 20-year lifespan, with a factory refurbishment required at the 10-year mark to reduce waste. Fully recyclable at the end of its life, this extinguisher is as sustainable as it is robust.

Suitable for boutique shops, restaurants, hotels, nightclubs and any other trendy location where the traditional red extinguisher doesn’t quite match your style.

Types of fire include Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc), B (flammable liquids), and fire involving electrical equipment (tested to 1000V).

Anticipated lifespan with indoor use and proper maintenance - 10 years, with an additional 10 years after factory refurbishment.

Please Note: You should still have your new service-free P50 extinguishers commissioned and installed by an extinguisher technician. Additionally, due to the specialist nature, these are made to order and may not be delivered the next working day.

P50 annual maintenance checks involve the following:

  • Visually checking the gauge is reading in the green segment and the safety pin and tamper tag are in place.
  • Removing the magnet from the base of the unit and checking the magnetic gauge (the needle should move to show it is not stuck and reading the correct pressure).
  • Check the extinguisher is within the life expectancy by the colour date stud.
  • Sign the back of the extinguisher with a permanent marker pen.
