The gunmetal bib-nose high-pressure regulating valve is an essential part of the dry riser system as it ensures there is consistent water pressure when you need to fight a fire. Often known as a PRV, these are used in high-rise buildings and large premises to allow a sufficient flow of water, regardless of location and fluctuations in the inlet pressure.

The outlet pressure can be adjusted between 5 and 9 bar, with a working inlet of 20 bar, even in cold temperatures. With a PN16 inlet and manufactured in accordance with BS5041 Part 1 and BS9990, the gunmetal construction ensures that it is corrosion-resistant so the fire hydrant pressure-regulating valve is suitable for installation even in demanding locations such as marines.

Featuring a PN16 inlet and a standard British Instantaneous female outlet to connect layflat firefighting hosing, you’ll find this in wet and dry riser fire hydrant systems. Supplied as standard with a cap and chain to keep the outlet clear of rubbish and dirt, the hand wheel makes it easy to control the flow of water.

The bib-nose high-pressure regulating valve is commonly used in major industrial locations, including marine, petrochemical, oil and gas, aviation, nuclear and waste recycling environments, as well as fire and rescue services.
