Beam Detection Systems

Thanks to the motorised head of the Firebeam system, installation and continuing maintenance of the beam detection system is a breeze. And they’re often a more viable option than installing a tradition smoke and heat detection in a large open space.

Perfect for warehouses, sports halls, and factories, beam detection systems allow for a large area to be constantly monitored for the presence of smoke, using an optical beam pointed at a reflective surface. The percentage of the returned light is then analysed, and when only a pre-set amount, the fire alarm system is then automatically activated to alert everyone.

When using range extenders, you can monitor a distance of up to 100 metres using the Firebeam system, and when used with Anti-Fog accessories, false alarms are even less likely from the risk of condensation.
