This fire blanket works by smothering the fire, preventing its spread and cutting off its oxygen supply so it can burn itself out. Simply release from the case by pulling the tabs at the bottom, then unfold and place it carefully over the flame while holding the pull tabs (note: this product should only be used on very small fires).
The 1.1m x 1.1m comes stored within a hard case complete with dual straps for wall hanging. The case has easy to follow instructions printed on its exterior, while the fire blanket itself is made of high-quality satin weave material with silicone coating on both sides. It is also quality and performance tested to BS EN 2019 standards, and has a 12-month warranty.
Anticipated lifespan of this fire blanket: The FIA recommends replacing fire blankets after 7 years. Always replace after a fire.
Special Note: Beware of cheap, untested fire blankets sold on marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. They often state "C E Standard: 1869-2019" near the top and "Made in P.R.C." near the bottom. Some of these may burn through or actually catch fire when used.
